Strategic Pricing and Contracts Manager - Americas

Reporting to the Treasurer/Head of Commercial Finance, this individual will lead the Americas region pricing operations, strategy, and analytics. This role will have supervision of and be supported by a Pricing and Contract Specialist. This role will interact heavily with members of the Field Sales organization, senior management, and other departments such as customer service and legal.

  • Manage the process of evaluating and communicating new and expiring customer price agreements in addition to comprehensive evaluations.
  • Enforce current price approval framework and assist in the identification and evaluation of new tools that support the proper controls over, and efficiency of, price approvals.
  • Manage the Company's relationships with affiliated Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) ensuring proper customer master data maintenance of membership, contractual compliance, and evaluating pricing /strategic importance upon anniversary of contractual relationship.
  • Review, and in some cases create, legal agreements associated with customer price /purchasing arrangements. Coordinate internal legal and fiance review, and manage the retrieval and storage of executed documents.
  • Price Analytics: Create, and maintain, recurring analytics around ASPs and customer purchase history, reportable to both senior management and in a format that is actionable for Field Sales that would drive customer interaction. Ad hoc requests relating to individual customer price proposals.
  • Strategic Pricing: Contribute directly to the establishment of the vision, prioritization, and roadmap for pricing initiatives. Participate in the creation of the models that support new price initiatives. Partner with sales and Marketing to establish pricing around new offerings. Manage and develop staff. Other ad hoc requests as necessary.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, or analytics/ Master's degree preferred. 3-5 years of work experience in the medical device, biotechnology, or equivalent industry that operates in a high volume environment. 2-5 years of related analytics and pricing experience in high volume and price competitive environment.

Advanced skill level in Excel with the ability to manage large amounts of data; database software, such as Access, preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize analysis into actionable directives for the business. Ability to work cross-functionality to achieve common goals.

We are currently seeking a Senior Global Applications Manager to join the Information Technology team. Manages support and development initiatives of all globally deployed business systems for BVI, including IFS, EDI, and other systems as may be deployed by BVI. Identify areas/potential projects where process redesign/improvement can significantly impact efficiency, quality, profitability, competitive, position and customer experience; work closely with Business Partners to ensure that process improvement projects support the strategic priorities of the organization; teach process improvement classes and coach process improvement practitioners across the company. Seeks out and champions new business and technology initiatives with company stakeholders. Configures and maintains the IFS application suite and serves as project manager for future deployment of IFS modules. Manages 3rd party development resources needed to meet IT project timelines. Coordinates and manages EDI software, improvement initiatives, and projects for the addition of new partners and transaction sets as business requires.

Provides clear leadership and support of IFS, EDI, and other globally deployed systems consistent with the objectives of fulfilling BVI's vision, mission, policies and procedures. Direct efforts toward high-value results. Set goals and objectives. Ensure that 3rd party development organizations comply with BVI standards and procedures. Project Management - Prioritize projects, direct resources, manage projects on a day-today basis. Arrange training as needed for users. Ensure that projects are on-time, on budget and meet the agreed to requirements of our IT customers. Work Closely with Business and IT staff in BVI Regional and Global IT organizations. Coordinate Plant and Business activities, implement Regional and Global initiatives for globally deployed Business Systems. Ensure that BVI Waltham globally deployed Systems are in compliance with BVI corporate directives, FDA regulations, and ISO standards. Responsible for creating and managing project budget. Will create capital requests as needed. Ensure that the Oracle database is supported and meets SLA commitments.

Requirements:

BS Degree in CS or related field. 15+ years IT Experience; 10+ years working in a manufacturing environment. 10+ years of IFS or another large scale ERP application suite; 10+ years managing small to large IT deployment initiatives; 5+ years implementing MRP and Master Scheduling; Minimum 2 IFS ERP implementations providing both technical and project management support; 1 + years exposure to Oracle Database Administration.

Preferred Masters degree. 3 years Crystal report develop; 1-2 years of Business warehouse exposure; (cognos, BW, etc.); 1-2 years support of EDI environment work with 3rd party Vans.

Regulatory Affairs Manager

Reporting to the Vice President of Quality & Regulatory, the Regulatory Affairs Manager assists in leading the regulatory function for BVI's global operations. Will work with the senior leadership and country managers to define likely regulatory pathways and devise strategies to align development activities with the same. Participates and provides guidance and support to other business functions on all regulatory matters. Prepare documents for interactions with US and International regulatory agencies as well as distributors as the business requires. As compulsory, will evaluate product circulars and labeling to ensure that performance claims and wording are appropriate to regulations. Responsible for international registration activities, including the notarization, legalization, and apostilling of relevant documents per country requirements, Prepares and files 510(k)s. Manages technical files (dossiers), Declarations of Conformities and other documentation as necessary. Works with document control. Manages a Regulatory Specialist and may manage temporary and/or consultant resources. Provides some counsel to internal groups such as Sales or R&D on routine ophthalmic-related questions, and will consult with BVI's KOL's as needed. Manages ongoing registration/re-registration of existing countries and new countries. Prepares submissions to obtain and maintain global regulatory approvals. Conduct VOC at Ophthalmic Conferences as needed and training,

Requirements: BS Or BA degree. The ability to create and organize technical/regulatory documentation. 5-7 years of experience working in a Medical Device company. Knowledge of clinical and regulatory requirements for the testing and sale of medical products. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. A minimum of two years of people management experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred: MS Degree COT, RAPS certification; Experience working in the ophthalmic medical device industry in a regulatory-related position.

Sitting, standing, presenting, lifting up to 35 lbs. unassisted. Ability to work on a computer and travel by plane/car/train. Up to 5-10% travel domestically and internationally.

Beaver-Visitec International is currently seeking a Sales Representative for Philadelphia/NJ territory, to help create and promote innovative, new microsurgical products for ophthalmic surgery. The Sales Representative will live in the Philadelphia area.

The Sales Representative will be responsible for the sales and promotion of ophthalmic disposable knives, instruments, kits and other supplies to hospitals, and ambulatory surgery centers. The Sales Representative will be responsible for maintaining and growing annual sales volume in assigned territory.

We require a BS or BA degree in Business and/or related discipline, 2 or more years selling medical devices in the operating room market to hospitals, surgery centers, and doctor's offices. Candidates for this position should have a demonstrated track record of success and an aptitude to learn and apply new clinical knowledge. Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to foster and develop strong relationships is a must. All candidates for this position must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and must be able to read and write in English.

Travel up to 50%. Ability to drive a car; use lap tap while sitting; use telephone and other hand-held devices; stand or walk for at least 4 hours at a time; presentations; written/oral communication in English; lift up to 70 lbs. Travel by plane, observe surgery in the Operating Room or Surgery Center.
