Strategic Pricing and Contracts Manager - Americas

Reporting to the Treasurer/Head of Commercial Finance, this individual will lead the Americas region pricing operations, strategy, and analytics. This role will have supervision of and be supported by a Pricing and Contract Specialist. This role will interact heavily with members of the Field Sales organization, senior management, and other departments such as customer service and legal.

  • Manage the process of evaluating and communicating new and expiring customer price agreements in addition to comprehensive evaluations.
  • Enforce current price approval framework and assist in the identification and evaluation of new tools that support the proper controls over, and efficiency of, price approvals.
  • Manage the Company's relationships with affiliated Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) ensuring proper customer master data maintenance of membership, contractual compliance, and evaluating pricing /strategic importance upon anniversary of contractual relationship.
  • Review, and in some cases create, legal agreements associated with customer price /purchasing arrangements. Coordinate internal legal and fiance review, and manage the retrieval and storage of executed documents.
  • Price Analytics: Create, and maintain, recurring analytics around ASPs and customer purchase history, reportable to both senior management and in a format that is actionable for Field Sales that would drive customer interaction. Ad hoc requests relating to individual customer price proposals.
  • Strategic Pricing: Contribute directly to the establishment of the vision, prioritization, and roadmap for pricing initiatives. Participate in the creation of the models that support new price initiatives. Partner with sales and Marketing to establish pricing around new offerings. Manage and develop staff. Other ad hoc requests as necessary.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, or analytics/ Master's degree preferred. 3-5 years of work experience in the medical device, biotechnology, or equivalent industry that operates in a high volume environment. 2-5 years of related analytics and pricing experience in high volume and price competitive environment.

Advanced skill level in Excel with the ability to manage large amounts of data; database software, such as Access, preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize analysis into actionable directives for the business. Ability to work cross-functionality to achieve common goals.

Global Product Manager  (Upstream)

Currently seeking to hire: Global Product Manager (Upstream) is responsible for all upstream marketing activities for a specific portfolio of products. Develops, implements and maintains product marketing plans to exceed units, revenue and profitability goals their product lines in all targeted regions. Serves as critical link between global customers, global sales team, downstream marketing, and other internal functions.

Global Product Manager (Upstream) will be responsible for maintaining a 3-year strategic plan for their business. This will include ongoing market assessments, competitive landscape analyses, identification of opportunities and threats, as well as identification of new sources of growth. In addition, this individual will be responsible for identifying new sourced products and/or innovation to drive top-line growth. 

Innovation: Global Product Manager (Upstream) will be responsible for the new product innovation pipeline as well as non-product and business model innovation. He/she will be responsible for identifying customer insights on current and future unmet needs, and translating those insights into a framework for the development and launch of new products and services. This individual must be able to effectively partner cross functionally to drive the development and/or acquisition of products, services, and technologies to meet those needs.

Commercial Performance: Global Product Manager (Upstream) will support the global sales and downstream marketing organizations through the development of advertising, sales and promotional tools, KOL management programs, and clinical education support materials. This individual must be able to effectively partner with local sales and marketing, as well as other key functions to help achieve annual sales and profitability targets. He/she will develop product sales forecasts for new products in conjuction with operations/production planning. This individual will be responsible for market analysis, identification of opportunities, goal setting and driving of best practices amongst regions.

Required : Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred) 4-6 years related experience in upstream marketing. Experience in downstream marketing is a plus. Ophthalmology and/or surgical products is preferred. Experience with new product development is required. The ability to build strong productive relationships within cross-functional teams is required. Proven expertise in developing sales and marketing initiatives directed at health care professionals is required. Experience with portfolio management, and product lifecycle management is required. The ability to think analytically with an entrepreneurial approach to drive business results is required. Global marketing experience is a plus.

This Sr. Product Development Engineer will be responsible for leading and participating in the R&D initiatives including new opportunity identification, technology development, product development and line extensions in support of Business objectives.

  • Lead observational research and needs identification research
  • Generate concepts, prototypes and demonstrate proof-of-concept for early stage ideas
  • Manage elements of a larger new technology project and/or a line extension
  • Work on multifunctional teams and drive to successfully complete assigned projects
  • Indirectly supervise technicians working on his/her projects

Requirements: BS in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent 3-5 years of medical industry with plant experience Education and practical applications of knowledge related to Biomedical engineering or mechanical engineering. Experience in the medical industry with expertise in implant technology development, disposable medical devices, or reusable capital equipment.

Sitting and standing for long periods of time; bending; squatting; lifting up to 30 lbs; attending trade shows. Travel up to 5-15% possible - more depending on specific projects.

 

 

 

 

 

Basic Summary

As the Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of new products, line extensions, and research projects. You will also manage smaller elements of large new technology projects and/or line extensions, work on multifunctional teams, drive to successfully complete assigned projects, and indirectly supervise technicians working on projects.

Requirements

We require a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, in addition to 2-4 years of medical industry experience. Education and practical application of knowledge related to Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering is also required. Travel up to 5-10%, possibly more depending on specific project.

The Sales Representative will be responsible for maintaining and growing annual sales volume in assigned territory.

We require a BS or BA degree in Business and/or related discipline, 2 or more years selling medical devices in the operating room market to hospitals, surgery centers, and doctor's offices. Candidates for this position should have a demonstrated track record of success and an aptitude to learn and apply new clinical knowledge. Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to foster and develop strong relationships is a must. All candidates for this position must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office an must be able to read and write in English.

Travel up to 50%. Ability to drive a car; use lap top while sitting; use telephone and other hand-held devices; stand or walk for at least 4 hours at a time; presentations; written/oral communication in English; lift up to 70lbs. Travel by plane, observe surgery in the Operating Room or Surgery Center.
